Do you ever feel like you want to spend some time just you and your partner but you don't want to break the bank? Well look no further, here are 5 low costs date ideas that you can do on a very tight budget. Just because you don't have a lot of money doesn't mean you can't have romantic moments together, you just have to be a little more creative. Keep scrolling to find 5 different low-cost date ideas you can do on your next date night.
1. At-home Spa
Break out some of the face masks and massage oils and have a couple at a home Spa day. This may not be everybody's cup of tea but my husband and I love it every once in a while. If you have kids do it one night after they've gone to bed and then you don't even have to get a babysitter! Why not even break out the wine and some music. Spending time and being silly together whilst you pamper yourself is one of the cheapest ways to have a luxury date night.
2. Outdoor Picnic
Find a cute spot outdoors, it doesn't matter if it's your own garden or park or even a wooded area. Once you've found your perfect spot make sure you check the weather forecast as there's nothing worse than a soggy picnic. When you get to your destination make sure you've packed some cute decor and treats including but not limited to;
- Cozy Blankets
- Fairy Lights
- Cute Candles (you don't have to light them)
- Your Favourite Food
- Amazing Drinks and Glasses
Some of your items may purely be for decor purposes rather than functional but it definitely creates a romantic vibe. Now all you have to do is enjoy each other's company in the great outdoors for a fraction of the price it would cost you to go to a restaurant.
3. Movie Marathon With a Twist
Obviously, a movie marathon is a no brainer for a low-cost date idea but why not go the extra mile? Surprise your other half with a cute space you have decorated with fairy lights, cozy blankets, and their favourite snacks. Putting that little bit more extra effort elevates your date a level and allows the other person too feel super special and your barely spending a thing. You could even set up a cinema-like screening by dimming lights and rustling up some movie theatre snacks such as nachos and popcorn.
4. Baking Party
This may not be for everyone but my husband and I love it. Firstly, research some cute baking ideas - try Pinterest for some baking inspiration. When you find a couple of recipes you both like- sweet or savory go shopping and get the ingredients. (NB* If you plan your dates in advance just add the ingredients to your shopping list*) When you get home, spend the day baking and making delicious baked goods together, having fun, and maybe even making a few mistakes along the way. Spend time carefully decorating your new goods and even compete for the best looking one. Then not only have you had fun baking together you have the delicious food to enjoy at the end. WIN, WIN!
5. McDonalds Tapas
Go to your local Mcdonalds or somewhere similar, order everything you like off the 'saver menu' - Essentially buying lots of the cheapest things on the menu. Take your food to go, and when you get home surprise your partners with their favourite fast food tapas style. You can get all of their favourite things and present it as a cute tapas/buffet meal, giving you traditional bargain food with a twist. A Mcdonalds meal doesn't necessarily scream date but add the tapas and sharing aspect of it and its a cute way to eat some of your favorite foods and spend time with your other half on a budget.
