6 TV Series You Need to Stream | Victoria Jiju

Sometimes in life you just have to switch off and zone out. 'Me time' is a priority in keeping your mental health thriving. This being said it's often a sneaky TV show binge that may just perk you up after a rough day. I've listed 6 of my favourites below which are absolutely binge worthy and could take your mind off a bad day. You'll find everything you need from; what the show is about, how many seasons it has, where you can steam them and who stars in them.


What is it About?
This show is based on a Novel by the same name by Celeste Ng. It follows the stories of the immaculate Richardson family and the slightly less perfect, mother-daughter duo (The Warrens) who seem to bring trouble to their doorstep.  The show explores how the art of lying, love, motherhood and danger can be a recipe for disaster.

What is it About?
This show is based on another best selling novel, this time written by Liane Moriarty. The show tells the story of three unblemished mothers whose picture-perfect lives appear to unravel quickly in web of deceit, violence and ultimately, murder.

What is it About?
A prequel to iconic 1960's psychological horror, Psycho tells the story of a mentally-ill teenager, Norman Bates and his intense relationship with his mother, Norma.

What is it About?
New Amsterdam follows the life of Dr Goodwin (Pictured above) who works at America's oldest public hospital. He is a force to be reckoned with, as he takes a lead role in trying to tear down bureaucracy and give all patients exceptional care however, his peers and staff are not so convinced. The show goes on to illustrate how Goodwin manages to break down the walls of the underfunded and understaffed hospital, helping to put New Amsterdam back on the radar.

What is it About ?
This  sci-fi horror show has a totally unique storyline. The show takes place in the 1980's and season one focuses on the disappearance of a Young Boy who seemingly vanishes into thin air. Whilst investigating his disappearance the town uncovers many unsavoury truths involving; supernatural occurrences, covert experiments and one little girl who seems to be the key to many secrets.

What is it About?
This show is a dark-comedy which focuses on a recently widowed woman (Christina Applegate) who is searching relentlessly for her husbands hit-and-run killer. In her quest to find his killer, she befriends an artsy, eccentric woman (Linda Cardellini) who may not be as genuine as she first appeared.
